GRAY, Frank McKinley, age 91 of Kettering and formerly of New Orleans, LA, passed away Friday, January 30, 2009. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane; his father, John; mother, Elizabeth; brothers: Dick, Bill, George, and Morris; sisters: Helen and Martha. Frank is survived by his daughters: Susan Gray of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; Elizabeth "Cookie" Weeks of Kettering, OH; son, Frank "Mack" McKinley Gray, Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren: Alexis M. Barthelemy of Washington, D.C., Andrea Howbert of Centerville, OH, Eric Weeks of Kettering, and Matti Gray of Ft. Wayne; and one great-grandchild, Emily Howbert. Frank was the youngest of seven siblings. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corps as a B-24 Bombardier/Navigator. He was a registered professional engineer and worked for Armco Steel (AK Steel) until his retirement in 1979. In his retirement, Frank volunteered with the City of Kettering and was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Dayton, OH. Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. Jeffery Campbell, officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the funeral home. Entombment in David's Cemetery Mausoleum, Kettering. If desired, donations in Frank's memory may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 141 S. Ludlow, Dayton, OH, 45402 or to the Salvation Army.
