Frank M. Hodgson

HODGSON, Frank, age 79, of Centerville passed away to be with his Lord on December 19, 2005. Frank was born in Jackson, TN October 1, 1926. Frank and Ardelle (Boehne) Hodgson were married May 19, 1956 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, IL and would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in May. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years. Frank received his Bachelor’s Degree from S.I.U. Carbondale, IL and his Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign. Frank taught 4 years at Waterloo High School before his 35 year career with the NCR Corporation. His favorite pastime was listening to the many great musical hits of the Big Band Era, which led to his production of seven” Big Band Shows” starring his many NCR country club friends. Frank was a loyal fan of the St. L Cardinals, Buckeyes, Ill Illini, Florida Gators, and the Orlando Magic. He looked forward to “snow birding” in their Winter Springs, FL condo, enjoying family, friends, and golfing. Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Hodgson, brother, father and mother-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law. He is survived by his wife, Ardelle (nee Boehne); daughter, Deanna Bowling of Lake Mary, FL; 2 sons, John (Karyn) Hodgson of Lawrenceville, GA and Brian (JoAnne) Hodgson of Kettering; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law; 7 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great, great nephew. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike with Pastor Phillip Esala officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
