SHERWOOD, Franklin James, age 90, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 at Heartland of Centerville. He was born Aug. 31, 1919 in Maple Heights, OH to Frank and Ethel Sharp Sherwood. He graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton. Frank served in the Army Air Force in World War II. In 1946 he was united in marriage with Emma Jane Smith. Before retirement he was owner of Kil Kare Auto Wrecking in Xenia, OH. Survived by his wife, Emma Jane; a brother, Jay Sherwood of Long Beach, CA; a sister, Gloria Clay of Grinnell, IA; a sister-in-law, Barbara Smith and many loving nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Esther Smith, Gladys Sherwood and Mariana Melhorn. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at 11:00AM at David's Cemetery Mausoleum, 4600 Mad River Rd., Dayton, OH.
