age 89, of Centerville who was born in Ruma, Austria-Hungary on April 4, 1915, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton after an extended illness. Mr. Krewedl, served as a school teacher in Croatia and Serbia. “He married Johanna Keller in Sotin, Yugoslavia, in 1938. Both taught school in various towns and villages throughout Croatia and Serbia. Mr. Krewedl made the decision to take his family to America. Upon arrival in Dayton, Mr. Krewedl, secured early jobs as a carpet layer and janitor. With a background in mathematics, he soon entered the Dayton’s then-thriving mold-making trade. Mr. Krewedl fulfilled a dream when he acquired his own tool and dye shop in Medway, OH, in 1974. The company, which became known as Medway Mold, quickly blossomed into a successful business. He was an inspiration to the end, facing his illness bravely and with humor. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Johanna, of 54 years. Mr. Krewedl is survived by his daughter, Dolores (Richard) Brooks; 2 sons, Waldemar (Ophelia) Krewedl of Centerville and Dieter (Beth) Krewedl of Truckee, CA; sister, Juliana Schmee of Buenos Aires, Argentina; niece, Theresia (Franz) Schurster of Kettering; sister-in-law, Marie (Mato) Vukusic of Centerville; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 310 Allen St., Dayton. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N.Main St., Centerville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
