KRAMER, Frederick Elmer “Fred”, age 74, of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Fred was born in Dayton, OH on December 22, 1947 to the late Arthur William and Betty June (McKee) Kramer. He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1966 and attended ITT Educational Services, Inc. Fred owned and retired from Kramer’s Party Supply in 2007. He worked as a bailiff for Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, a Draftsman at UD, and part-time for Miamisburg City Schools for 9 years. Fred was an Associate Member for Fraternal Order of Police, Past Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus, Council 500, Flyers Club, and 1850 Society, University of Dayton. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Fred enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. His talents were many. He was the original creator of Kramer’s Pizza and made his own world famous salad dressing. Fred loved cooking, catering, and tailgating at UD football games, he was an avid UD basketball fan and season ticket holder. He also loved to volunteer for Cystic Fibrosis, and dress up as Santa Claus for The Knights of Columbus, Feast of Giving and for various friends and family. Fred played the organ and sang for J.B. and the Royal Blues Band, and DJ’d at the Wooden Shoe Inn for the Minster Octoberfest.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Karen; children, Holly (Ben) Bragg, Art (Dolores) Kramer; grandchildren, Samantha (Aaron) Stover, Artie and Charlie Kramer; step-grandchildren, Vinnie and Sal Hollan; great-grandchildren, Cali, Bentley, and Remi; siblings, Sharon (Dennie) McNett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thank you to the staff at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, the Wound Center at Miami Valley Hospital South, and Fidelity Home Health Care.
Family will greet friends 4-8PM on Monday, February 7 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E STROOP RD, KETTERING. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Tuesday, February 8 at Holy Angels Parish, 1322 Brown St, Dayton. Fred will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
