GARMAN, Gale, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
Staff Sergeant Garman served his country during WWII in the United States Army. As an infantryman, he landed on Omaha Beach at H-Hour. He was a member of the VFW #2800 Dayton Post, Eagles Area #321, Beavercreek, OH, 29th Infantry Association, Combat Infantry Association. Gale retired from Delco Products as a model maker after 45 yrs. of loyal service. He was an avid fisherman, bowler and golfer in the area for many years. He will be terribly missed and remain a hero in the hearts of his family.
Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 1999, sister, Norma Jean Ibaugh, brother Donnie and son-in-law Jeff Wray. He is survived by a brother, Wayne Garman of Dayton, son, Gary Lee Garman and Judy; 4 daughters, Lynn Marie Farney and husband Tim, Anita Luise Wray, Mary Ann Tuuri, and Susan Kay Balter and husband Greg; 9 grandchildren, 5 girls and 4 boys; 4 great-grandchildren, 3 girls and 1 boy; and numerous family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00PM on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday following the visitation at the funeral home, with Celebrant Rev. Dave Tackett officiating. A burial will take place in David's Cemetery following the service.
