Gary Yagley

YAGLEY, Gary Wayne, 69, of Centerville, OH, surrounded by his family, joined his Savior Jesus Christ on November 24, 2016 after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. Gary was born on July 21, 1947 in Detroit, MI. After graduating from Dearborn High School, he served in the United States Navy before graduating from Wright State University. Gary spent over 30 years serving as a Realtor/Broker in the Dayton area and blessed many organizations with his time and servant attitude. He was a member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Ta-Wa-Si Club and Sycamore Creek Country Club where he loved to golf. He will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, corny jokes, and his fierce love for family and friends. Gary is survived by wife Marsha; daughters, Kara (Jason) Baker and Laura (Scott) Hochstein; step-daughter, Jessica Copher; grandchildren, Emma Rose, Olivia Payton, Cooper Louis and Aubrey Rose, whom lovingly called him Ponta; sister-in-law, Linda Yagley, Debbie Akins-Deem and Gary Stephens (while technically cousins were more like siblings) and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also preceded in death by Donna, his wife of 40 years; parents, Gerald and Claudia Yagley; brothers, Gerald Jr. and James Yagley and in-laws William and Oliverose Apple. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering with a funeral service on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 10 am at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Ave., Kettering, OH. Burial will follow the funeral at David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton, whom alongside his family, took such good care of Gary during his final days.
