Geneva Norvell

NORVELL, Zanesville-Geneva, 96, passed away on August 19, 2018 at the Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville after an extended illness. She was born on June 23, 1922, to Archie and Leota Alcorn in Berea, Kentucky. In 1967 Geneva and Homer Norvell moved to Zanesville to open Norvells Hearing Aid Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and remained close to her friends and family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Homer Norvell, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Geneva is survived by 2 sons, Merrill E. Norvell (Martha) of Belden, MS, and Bradley K. Norvell (Chris) of Zanesville, OH; 5 grandchildren, Bradley E. Norvell, Charleston, SC, Renee McCown (Scott), Amarilla, TX, Jacob Norvell (Stephanie), Dallas, TX, Patrick Weatherford, Blue Springs, MS, Jennifer Curtis, Vicksburg, MS., 1 sister Sheila Walker, Dayton, OH, and 1 brother Ray Alcorn, Dayton, OH, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be on August 25, at 11:00am with visitation 1 hour before the Funeral service at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 North Main St., Centerville, OH, with Pastor Sandra Apgar, niece of the deceased, officiating, burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery.
