George Baker Marriott

MARRIOTT, George B., age 71 of Centerville, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. George was born to the late, George F. and Jean (nee Baker) Marriott and was raised in Youngstown, OH. He attended Purdue University and Indiana Central College. George worked in the Financial Systems Division of the NCR Corporation for 19 years and then Advanced Computer Systems for 11 years. George was an avid fan of all sports, particularly football and golf. He enjoyed many years of golf at the NCR Country Club along with his fantasy sports statistics. In his younger years, he helped coach Wee Elks and taught bowling to the physically challenged. George is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara; son, James G. (Susan) Marriott; daughter, Kathleen Turton; grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Sam and Daniel and sister, Audrey Deichert. The family wishes to thank Dr. F. Rubio and staff for many years of great care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 14th April 2007 at 10:00 am at The Church of the Incarnation 7415 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, Ohio. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, 13th April 2007 at Routsong Funeral Home 81 North Main St. Centerville.
