WAIZMANN, George H., age 81, died peacefully in his sleep at home early Tuesday morning. He was preceded in death by his parents Karl and Theresa Waizmann, and his sister Gertrude Callahan. George is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Roberta Page. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Joe (Leslie) Waizmann, Andrew (Paula) Waizmann, Marge (Christian) Walenta and Ron "Arn" (Ali) Waizmann; grandchildren, Jess and Bobby Waizmann, Katie, Emily and Sara Walenta and Hannah and Haley Waizmann; brother, Charles Waizmann; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. George was a lifelong resident of Dayton and a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School and attended University of Dayton and Wright State University. He worked in the tool and die industry, holding several patents and retired as Vice President of Sales and Production at Gem City Engineering. He was a member of various organizations including Dayton Engineers Club, Walnut Grove Country Club, Hollinger and Dayton Indoor Tennis Clubs, The East Dayton Social and Outing Club, Dayton Liederkranz-Turner and The Milton Athletic Club. George enjoyed family, friends, golf, tennis, travel, music, woodworking, storytelling, a friendly wager, a good party and above all humor and laughter. His enthusiasm for life was infectious and he made everyone smile. George truly lived life to the fullest, inspiring all who knew him. A celebration of George's life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 1:00-5:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association Miami Valley Chapter or the charity of your choice.
