age 79 of Centerville, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001. He was a WWII veteran, serving as a sergeant in the European Theater and landing on Omaha Beach in 1944. George received the European Theater Ribbon and the Bronze Star. He worked for DESC for 37 years, retiring in 1979. George was a member of the Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren, West Carrollton Lodge 737; Trinity Chapter #44; Council 131; Antioch Shrine; and a Past Commander of Valley Commandery. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Paula; a son, Robert and his wife, Pamela of Pittsburgh, PA; a daughter, Carol Greene and her husband, Dennis of Columbus; and 5 grandchildren, Sarah Anne and Nicholas Mayer, and Joshua Brant, Jason Ryan and Jared Allen Greene. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday in the Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Byron M. Flory officiating. Burial in Heritage Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 A.M., Monday in the church. If desired, contributions may be made to the Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, 800 E.
