FISH, Geraldine Ann "Gerry", age 92, went to be with our Lord on September 20, 2015. Gerry was born January 6, 1923 to Gertrude and Frank Sasek in Alton, Illinois.
Gerry graduated in 1939 from Marquette High School and worked for Standard Oil during WWII. She gave her time to many causes including Jaycees, Girl Scouts and March of Dimes which gave her the opportunity to meet Jonas Salk. She and George raised their family in various places throughout the Midwest, finally settling in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She moved to Kettering in 1998 and is a member of St. Albert the Great Parish.
Gerry was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, George; daughter, Gerry Lee Fish; her parents; sister, Joanita Merkle; and brother, Gil Sasek. She is survived by her son, George Fish II of Indianapolis; daughters, Kathy Arquilla (Tom), Betsy Brown (Tim), Sue Ayers (Mike) and Margo Rubertus (Greg) all in the Dayton area. She was a proud grandmother of Mike (Jen) and Emily Ayers, Darren Brown, Kristen and David Arquilla, Rachel, Riley, Jack and Abby Rubertus, and great grandchildren Gavin and Victoria Ayers. She also is survived by brother, Ed Sasek of Alton; sister, Gert Tuckett of St. Louis; and special family friends Paul Curley and Greg Wood.
