Giovanni Dastoli

DASTOLI, Giovanni, age 87 of Kettering, passed away at home on Sunday, August 29, 2010. Born July 13, 1923 in Filadelfia, Italy to Francesco and Barbara (Mazzotta) Dastoli. Giovanni was a Master Tailor for the Metropolitan clothing store and BMT Clothiers. He was a long time member of the Sons of Italy and The Ascension Catholic Church. Giovanni was a dedicated family man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren, had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed his many travels with his wife throughout the world. Preceded in death by his parents, Giovanni is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Frances R. Pujia Dastoli; daughters, Barb (Cary) Gruenzel, Angela (Ron) Weidel, and Vickie (Keith) Shomper; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Angela (Leon) Pietrantonio, brother-in-law Anthony (Margarita) Pujia, and numerous family members. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 from 5:008:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, at 10:30AM at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering, OH with Fr. Chris Worland and Pastor Gary Favor co-officiating.
