Gladys Julia Blowers

BLOWERS, Gladys Julia, age 96 of Beavercreek, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Heartland of Beavercreek. Julia was born on September 26, 1912 to Henry and Louella (Nutt) Brown in Warren County. She attended Dayton Junior Teacher's College and received her bachelor's degree in teaching from Miami University. She was a member of the United Christian Church in Clayton. She and her husband owned Blowers Art Glass for 35 years. Julia was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clifford Blowers; son, Carl Blowers; sister, Virginia Learish and brothers, Wendell and Russell Brown. She is survived by her son, Ray (Diana) Blowers of Beavercreek; daughter, Rebecca (Mike) Chariton of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Ryan (Katie) Blowers of Kettering and Gary Blowers of Beavercreek; great-grandson, Rylie Blowers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 3, 2009 with Pastor Dean Miller officiating at the funeral home. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville.
