ERVIN, Gladys L., "Hoot" or "Bear", age 82, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013.
Born to Robert and Lula Rayburn on March 12, 1930, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Gladys lived to serve God and take care of others. She was formerly employed by Kettering City Schools in food service and was a member of Kettering First Church of God. She loved to camp with her husband and travel with her sisters.
Preceded in death by her husband Billie Joe Ervin; parents; brothers Webster Rayburn, Clifton Rayburn, Dane Rayburn, Raymond Rayburn, Robert Rayburn Jr., Augustus Rayburn, Tomo Rayburn; sisters Inez Rayburn Nolan and Eunice Rayburn Hildebran. She is survived by sons Bill (Margie) Ervin of Dayton and Jack (Mary Jane) Ervin of Prospect, KY; grandsons BJ Ervin, Mike Ervin and Hunter Ervin; sisters Fostella Rayburn Gilliam and Betty Rayburn Black.
The family will greet friends from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery.
