Glenda Jean Kennard

KENNARD, Glenda Jean, age 84, of Dayton, OH, passed away on November 14, 2014. Glenda was born to the late Lawrence A. and Stella M. (nee Hall) Hicks on August 31, 1930 in Wheelwright, KY. She worked at Microelectronics and later as a chauffeur at NCR for 35 years. Glenda was a loving mother and a passionate Cincinnati Reds fan. She enjoyed thrift store shopping and could always find a good bargain. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Paula Kuth and Cheryl Kuth; grandson, Charlie; and granddaughter, Kellie Stidham. Glenda is survived by her children, Steve (Crystal) Stidham, Kathy (George) Swisher, Kandi (Art) Bailey, Tonya (Mark) Carter and Sherri (Tony Myers) Maggard; grandchildren, Josh Maggard, Heather Carter, Matthew Stidham, Krystal Becraft and Jodi Dudon; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. A reception and luncheon will be held at the funeral home following services to honor Glenda and celebrate her memory.
