Glynn R. McNaughton

MCNAUGHTON, Glynn R., age 73, of Kettering, passed away at home March 17, 2024. He was born one of five children to Laurine and Charles R. McNaughton on December 29, 1950. Glynn is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael and Terry McNaughton. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette “Toni” Marie (Dando) McNaughton; sister, Melanie Busch of St. Louis, MO; brother, Chris (Cindy) McNaughton; and many nieces and nephews, extended family members, close friends, and coworkers. 

Glynn proudly served in the United States’ Army as a Sergeant in the Artillery where he served in the Vietnam War. After serving, he worked over 40 years as a sales estimator for commercial doors. After retiring, Glynn was an avid golfer and bowler, and he was a member of a few golf teams and bowling leagues. He golfed in West Virginia and Kapalua Maui, Hawaii as well as many others. Glynn was extremely proud to get at least one Hole-In-One in his lifetime. Throughout bowling, he bowled many 300 games earning a trophy and a ring. He was a long-time member of Epiphany Lutheran Church since he and Toni joined in the summer of 1990. Glynn and Toni loved to travel together and with friends. Their favorite location was in Hawaii; however, they often visited California, Florida, the Caribbean, as well as many other destinations. They shared their life with five dogs, Tammy, Miss Ellie, Ellie-Jean, Kira, and Daisy. In just 8 months, Glynn and Toni would have celebrated 52 years of marriage. Glynn was a unique and outgoing person, “to know Glynn is to love him.” He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 4:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, OH 45429. Family and friends may visit from 3:00PM until the time of service. Glynn will be laid to rest at Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America and the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
