Gregory John Oldiges

OLDIGES, Gregory John, age 56, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Gregory was born to Ronald L. and Mary Lou (nee Poeppelman) Oldiges on April 25, 1958 in St. Marys, OH. He graduated from Belmont High School in 1976 and was the owner of Williams Brothers Roofing and Siding, where he was known by all to care for his employees as they were family. Gregory was a great man with a heart of gold who enjoyed golfing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a respected professional in the National Advisory Council for Shingle Manufacturing where he served as a special board member. Gregory was an avid supporter of Habitat for Humanity, Artemis House, and local school athletic programs. Gregory is preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. Oldiges and step-daughter, Jessica. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Linda M. Oldiges; children, Ryan and Tyler Oldiges and Jennifer (Larry Howard) Knapp; mother, Mary Lou; grandchild, Dillon Potts; brothers, Scott (Cathy) Oldiges, Glen (Patti Mangen) Oldiges and Jack (Becky) Oldiges; numerous nieces and nephews and his special dog, Lexie (Peanut). Family will greet friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd. Dayton, OH 45420.
