Harold L. Poteet

POTEET, Harold Loyd age 80 of Kettering passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Harold was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering and former member of Rean Meadow Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Harold retired from Delco Moraine after 42 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Poteet in 1987 and parents, Mode and Elizabeth (nee Garrett) Poteet; brothers, Elmer and Claude Poteet; step-mother, Cornie (Poteet) Livasy. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carrie Poteet; son, Roger (Diana) Poteet; brothers, Clarence (Rita) Poteet and Charlie Eugene (Shirley) Poteet; sisters, Nella Dovel and Pauline (Russell) Pursley and many other special friends and family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Kettering, 1600 Brownleigh Rd., Kettering with Pastor Barry Jude officiating. Burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2006 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
