Harry E. Knight

KNIGHT, Harry E., age 61, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Hospice of Dayton. Harry was a Military Policeman with the Army in the 1960’s. He received his Master’s Degree in business from Central Michigan University. Harry was the former Financial Manager for the Supreme Court of MI and Financial Manager for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He was a member of the Chi Gamma Iota Fraternity in graduate school. Harry was also a founder and longtime member of the American Legion Beavercreek Post and a patron of the arts. Preceded in death by his parents, Howard E. and Thelma Knight and brother, Alan Knight. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Gertrude; daughter, Janice M. McMahan of Columbus, OH; son, Harry E. Knight and Fiancé, Mairin E. Bender of Columbus and sister, Judith Marlin of Montaque, MI. Harry leaves other family and friends to celebrate the memories of a life well lived. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Pastor Mark McVey officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In memory of Harry, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
