GLASER, Harry Herbert, age 81 of Dayton, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, January 26, 2009. After graduating from Roosevelt HS, Harry served his country in the United States Army. After service, he entered the tool & die apprentice program at NCR where he worked for 28 years. Later, he also worked for Frigidaire and then retired from Ledex. After retirement, Harry and his wife, Mary, enjoyed traveling extensively and socializing with their friends and family. He was a member of the Alpha Masonic Lodge in Kettering and an active member of the Shrine, where he volunteered to drive children to the Shriner's Burn Hospital in Cincinnati and at the Shriner's Circus. Harry was a past president of the Trotwood Optimist Club. Other activities Harry enjoyed were bowling and playing cards. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Harry is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Mary; children: Marcia Credit and James (Roberta) Glaser; grandchildren: Sean Phillips, Douglas (Heather) Phillips, Heather (Brian) Lanese, David Glaser, Kayti Cook, Kris Cook, Megan Credit; great-grandchildren: Michael Phillips, Haley Phillips, Sean Phillips; sister, Gertrude (Larry) Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather from 5-8:00PM on Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park.
