LANG, Harry Paul, age 87, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2020. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. Harry was a founding member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was a proud Girl Dad who loved his daughters and sat through countless ballet recitals and drill team performances with a big smile on his face.
Harry attended Reading City Schools where he was football cocaptain and the Football King his senior year. He was a graduate of Xavier University and honorably served his country during the Korean War. Harry enjoyed a long career with Elder-Beerman department stores as a Vice President.
Preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Harry Lang; daughter, Mary Creason; and grandson, Daniel Luce. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Genene Lang; daughter, Debra Luce (Max); daughter, Nichole Meyer (Kevin); grandchildren, Sara Blair (Jesse), Ashley Steggell (Adam), Melana and Lily Meyer; sister, Sylvia Pfankuch; sister, Eileen Anderson; great grandchildren, Allyson Frey, Maddox Blair, and Adalynn Steggell; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 9-10am, on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am following the visitation, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, 45459. Burial in Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Rd., Cincinnati 45231 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton or St Francis of Assisi. The service will be live streamed on St. Francis’s website for those wishing to attend virtually.
