CHURCHILL, Hazel “Skip” Musser Ziegler, 83, of Fairfield, OH, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, in Hospice of Dayton (Ohio). She was born in Dayton, the only daughter of Hazel Fay Miller Musser and James William Musser; her brother, James William Musser, Jr., died in infancy. She graduated from Fairview High School in Dayton, and attended Ohio Wesleyan University, where she was initiated into Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Her professional career included employment at the Dayton Art Institute, NCR and Cincinnati Milicron, from where she retired. As a teenager, she learned to play golf and excelled at the sport much of her life. She took up figure skating in her 30’s and tennis in her 50’s. She was deeply interested in her family’s history; in her 60’s, she became a professional genealogist and teacher, and was a 16 year volunteer at the Norwood, Ohio, LDS Family History Center. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the First Families of Ohio, but she was most proud of her French ancestors who settled in Quebec, Canada, in the 1500’s. For decades, she was very active in her community and served in a variety of capacities in her condominium association. She was an avid gardener all her life and grew exquisite peonies. Her first marriage to Walter H. Ziegler, Jr., ended in divorce. Her second husband, Ralph M. Churchill, died in 1988. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Judy Ziegler Meade and son-in-law Richard H. Meade, of Fort Washington, MD; her son, Bruce E. Ziegler, of LaFollette, TN; daughter-in-law, Jane A. Ziegler, of Centerville, OH; grandson, Talbot D. Ziegler, granddaughter-in-law Angela K.
