of Kettering, died Labor Day, September. 4, 2000. He was born February 6, 1918 in Miamisburg, OH. Mr. Maue served as Technical Sergeant First Photo Reconnaissance Squadron in the Army Air Corps in WWII, receiving his honorable discharge on December 4, 1945. He served DP&L for 31 years and 7 months, during which he designed a turbine maintenance training program at J. M. Stuart Station. Mr. Maue retired on February 1, 1980 as Maintenance Engineer, division of energy production at Tate and Hutchings stations. After retiring, he worked part time in the Centerville Public Library system. He is a Master Mason of George L. Marshall Lodge in Centerville. His hobbies included wood-carving, reading, art and music. Heber also enjoyed bike and motorcycle riding, even into his 70's. Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Lester and Esther Maue and sister, Marguerite Hix. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Miriam K.; son, Chuck (Paula) Maue and granddaughters, Laura and Emily Maue of Bellbrook; daughter, Janice Maue of Dayton. Also son, Douglas C. Maue of Miamisburg and daughter, Cassandra O'Neill of Kettering; sister, Maryellen Baker of New Carlisle; niece, Brenda Fisher; 2 nephews, Bob and Eddie Hix; and a cousin, Helen Plocher. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8th at David's Cemetery on Far Hills and David Rd., Kettering with Pastor William Youngkin officiating. Following the service, visitation and respects will be held at David's Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, P.O.
