CLARK, Helen L., age 91, of Centerville passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on April 20, 1921 in Fairmont, WV to the late Floyd and Myra (Summers) Morris.
Helen was retired from the Montgomery County Prosecutors Office, where she served over twenty years as receptionist; fondly known as the "Gate Keeper". Prior to that, she was active in the PTA at the local, state and national level.
Helen enjoyed life to its fullest, and most especially appreciated spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John L. Clark, and daughter-in-law, Donna (Gerry) Clark.
Helen is survived by her children, Gerry M. of Centerville, John L. Jr. (Patricia) of Centerville and Jeannie (David) Kendig of Oakwood; grandchildren, Sean (Paula) Clark of Sequim, WA, John L. Clark III (Dana) of Houston, TX, Vincent (Theresa) Kendig of Kettering, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Cain of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Kendig, of Cincinnati, Mary Kendig, of Chambersburg, PA, and Daniel and Michaela Kendig of Oakwood. Also survived by great-grandchildren, Tim, and Ashleigh Clark of Sequim, WA, and Ryan and Adam Cain of Atlanta, GA, and Chrissy (David) Porter and one great-great-grandchild. Also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to send their deepest gratitude to Vicky Reinke for the wonderful care she gave to Helen in her final months.
Family will greet friends one hour before the service at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 Stroop Rd., Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 2nd at St. Albert the Great Church in Kettering. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
