Byrne, Helen Louise (nee Cheney), age 92, of Richmond, KY formerly of Dayton, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the Pattie A. Clay Regional Hospital in KY. Louise was a retired employee of the Montgomery County Clerks Office and a member of The Church of The Ascension, Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Byrne in 1962, parents, Scott and Daisy Diffendal Cheney; 2 sons, Charles Michael Byrne and Thomas Richard Byrne; granddaughter, Anita Otero and grandson, Tim Byrne. Helen is survived by four sons, Pat (Hedy) Byrne of New Bern, NC, Charles Byrne of Centerville, OH, Mike (Becky) Byrne of Greenville, OH, and Dan (Sue) Byrne of Springfield, OH; daughter, Phyllis Otero of Richmond, KY; brother, Joe (Joan Helen) Cheney of South Charleston, OH; 15 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by two caretakers, Kathy Webb, and Barbara Anglin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, March 8, 2004 at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Dr., with Father Dave Brinkmoeller officiating. Helen’s family will have a visitation from 2-4:00 PM, Sunday, March 7, 2004 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
