FERRAZZA, Henry L., “Hank” age 83, of Centerville, passed away, Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Heartland of Centerville. Devoted husband, father and grandfather. Hank was a member of The Church of the Incarnation, a graduate of Cathedral Latin H. S., University of Dayton and Case Western Reserve. He served in WW II in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart. Hank was the Chairman of the Physical Education Department at UD for 18 years and Director of Real Estate for Cassano’s Pizza for the past 36 years. An avid booster of UD, Centerville and Alter High Schools. Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Ruffino and Elizabeth Ferrazza, brothers Sam and Carl. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Josephine (Boccia) Ferrazza;1 daughter, Maria (Michael) Grote of Madison, IN; 3 sons, Joseph of New York, John (Sara) of Centerville and Michael (Meaghan) of Chicago; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Josephine, Katherine and Henry Grote; Caroline and Olivia Ferrazza; 1 brother, Daniel (Marge) Ferrazza of Cleveland; 2 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ferrazza of Cleveland, and Nina Ferrazza of New York and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff at the Heartland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Incarnation with Father Pete Helmlinger officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. In memory of Hank, contributions may be made to the University of Dayton, 300 College Park St., Dayton, OH 45469.
