Henry W Amick

AMICK, Henry W, 78, of Kettering, formerly of Nicholas County WV, passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2017. Henry was born on June 24, 1938 in Runa WV, to the late Arthur and Julia (Neff) Amick. Henry graduated from West Virginia Tech, and he served over six years in the Army primarily with the 1st Cavalry, spending time in both in Korea and Germany. After his time in the military, Henry worked as an engineer in the aerospace industry, designing and maintaining aircraft for the airforce. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, and was an avid Reds and Steelers fan. Henry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lisa (Carpenter) Amick; his parents; and his siblings: Betty, Lila, Dudly, Natalie, and Ruskin. Henry is survived by his son, Byron (Denise) Amick, grandson, Jayden Hickey, and step-grandchildren: Jacob Hetzel and Nathan Sams. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Dayton National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the VA Hospice Staff and the Wellcare workers for the love and care shown to Henry.
