Herman L. Walker

WALKER, Herman L. 'Verne' age 82, was born January 8, 1921 in Limestone County, Alabama. Died March 2, 2003 at Kettering Hospital. Preceded in death by parents, Allois and John, and brother Robert. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Evelyn Brown Walker; son, Don (Mary Ann) and their children, Alex and Emily. Also surviving are his sisters, Myrtice Jennings and Evelyn Kaylor; sisters-in-law, Catherine (Keith) Brown, Margaret Wagner; brother-in-law, James (Peggy) Brown and many nieces and nephews. Herman served six years in the U.S. Navy before his many years of service in the 4950th Test Wing Group at WPAFB. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in David's Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 11:30-1:00 PM at the funeral home. In memory of Herman, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
