Herschel Lykins

LYKINS, Herschel, age 78, of Dayton, passed away Friday, March 12, 2004. Herschel was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In 1978 he retired as a LT. from the Dayton Fire Department. Herschel was a member of the Dayton Lodge #147 F&AM Dayton Valley Scottish Rite, Antioch Shrine, and the Dayton Fire Fighters Credit Union where he served on several committees. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Jo Seibel and two brothers, Ronald and Eugene Lykins. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Thelma Lykins; daughter, Barbara (Douglas) Trump; son-in-law, Ralph (Cindy) Siebel; 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Bonds, Rochelle (Bobby) Jones, Curtis, Ryan and Kevin Trump; 3 great grandchildren, Laurel, Chloe and Harrison Bonds; brothers, David and Ernie Lykins; sisters, Gearlene Boldman and Patricia Meyers. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. Larry Fleck officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1-3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Polk Grove Cemetery.
