Hubert Arthur Thomas

THOMAS, Hubert A. “Art”, Age 87, of Kettering, formerly of Russell, KY, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011. Hubert retired from the Kettering Board of Education and Millat Industries where he worked as a carpenter and locksmith. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Hubert was known as a hardworking, strong man who was “the glue of the family”. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Thomas; son Keith W. Thomas and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Gail) Thomas, and Mark (Shelly) Thomas; daughters, Bonnie (Larry) Anderson, and Joyce (Ron) Woodall; brother, Leslie Thomas; grandchildren, Chris, Kevin, Lisa (Danny) Kepler, April (Jim) Lindon, Danny Owenby, Amanda Thomas, Matt (Angie) Anderson, and Jenni Moore; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Sidney, Gunner, TJ, Judah, Kayla, Kaylie, and Laura. The family will greet friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at ROUTSONG FUNERAL HOME, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 also at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Griffith officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
