age 59, of Oakwood, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2004. He was a graduate of Wittenberg University. Hugh served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was National Dealer Development Manager for Kubota Tractor Company. Hugh had also been the Marketing Manager for Ford Tractor. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the American Legion. Hugh coached youth football and basketball for many years. He was an avid college football fan, especially the Michigan Wolverines. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Edith Nickel. Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Joyce; two sons, Justin Nickel and his wife, Jennifer, of Cincinnati and Brian Nickel of Oakwood; daughter, Shannon Tucker of Dayton; two grandchildren, Jessica Tucker and Ian Nickel; brother, V. Edward Nickel, Jr. and his wife, Becky, of West Bloomfield, MI; sister, Christine Moss and her husband, Jon, of Lee, NH; brother-in-law, W. Edward Pullins and his wife, Dianne, of Springfield; and many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Pastor Tom Bernlohr officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 40 S. Perry St., Ste. 120 Dayton, OH 45402-1429.
