Hugh Carr Allen

ALLEN, Hugh C., age 84, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010. Hugh was born in Middlesboro, KY, moved to Dayton at age 15 and retired from General Motors after 45 years of service. He was a member of East Dayton Christian Church, Solar Lodge #730 F&AM and 32 Scottish Rite. Hugh loved to visit the sick and was known for leaving his calling card of love and hope. He dearly loved his family. Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wilma Allen; his beloved daughter Carol (Bob) Slouffman; grandchildren Tami (Patrick) Tenoever of Cincinnati, Angie (Brad) Scheper of Cincinnati; great-grandchildren Sam, Max and Liz Tenoever, Caroline and Jack Scheper; numerous nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, he helped and touched many people and will be remembered by all. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 4:00-7:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, Ohio 45429 with Masonic services at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 26 at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Internment will be Dayton Memorial Park.
