HEIKES, Ida B., age 91, of Kettering passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Oak Creek Terrace. Ida was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and member of the Missionary Association of Mary Immaculate. Ida and Marshall met at Island Park and later married. At that time, Marshall worked at Inland and Ida for the Dayton Rubber Company. Along with her husband Marshall, they constructed, owned and operated the Holiday Aire Motel, Imperial 300 Car Wash, and constructed numerous homes in the Kettering, Oakwood and North Dayton areas. Prior to this, Ida was associated with the Dayton Rubber Company. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Heikes in October 1976; son, Ronald Heikes in May 2001; daughter-in-law, Judith Heikes in November 2003; 4 brothers, Shelby, Sherman, Chancey and Curtis McNamee; and 4 sisters, Mary Beattie, Jean King, Peggy Cahill and Ettna McNamee. She is survived by 1 son, Kevin (Irene) Heikes;1 daughter, Judy Mae Heikes who was also her care giver; 4 grandchildren, Ronald (Tami) Heikes, Paula (Rick) Brust, Donald (Jennette) Heikes and James (Pam) Heikes; 6 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Amanda, Zachary, Jacklyn, and Hunter; 1 brother, Virgil Riley and several special nieces and nephews and 8 half brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will greet friends Wednesday from 4-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family via the website at www.routsong.com.
