Ida G. Haverstick

HAVERSTICK, Ida G., age 71, of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Idy graduated from Holy Angels High School in Sidney, OH and was co-owner of Jay’s Seafood Restaurant for over 36 years. Idy married Jay in 1971 and had a love for traveling, food, wine and was passionate fan of the U.D. Flyers basketball. Preceded in death by her husband, Jay Haverstick; parents, Howard and Gertrude Goffena; brother, Pete Goffena. Idy is survived by her son, Joe (Rebecca) Haverstick of Solon, OH; and daughter, Amy Haverstick; grandchildren, Drew, Lauren and Daniel Haverstick. A celebration of Idy’s life will be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Jay’s Seafood Restaurant, 225 E. Sixth Street, Dayton, OH. Private family services.
