Irene A. Jankowski

JANKOWSKI, Irene A., age 87, of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024. 

Our mother was a woman fully and selflessly committed to the well-being of her family. Her dedication to her husband A Ivan Jankowski and their children’s welfare (Garry, Julie, Greg and Eric) from the moment of birth on-going could not be ever in doubt, in fact Irene’s efforts above and beyond provided endearing support, a holy guidance and sometimes with raised eye brow a thought or two of specific advice/warning. One of nine her position as a loving sibling supported a sacred and beautiful role as a truly dedicated care giver, loving mother and holy spiritual guide.

Along with her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Jankowski; daughter, Julie (Christian) Peyrin; grandson, Eion Jankowski; and siblings, Lois Thomas, Edwin Borgert, Jr., Fred Borgert, and Rosemarie Stump. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Garry (Tami) Jankowski, Greg Jankowski, and Eric Jankowski; grandchildren, Griffin (Abigail) Jankowski, Tess Peyrin, Milan Peyrin, and Evan Jankowski; siblings, Martha (Jerome) Zimmerle, Carolyn Froning, Kenneth Borgert, and Kathryn Payne, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Family will greet friends Friday, September 13 from 10:00am-11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd., Dayton, OH 45420, with Mass of Chrisitan Burial beginning at 11:00am.
