June 30, 1927 — March 18, 2005

LONG, J.B., age 77, of Dayton, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005. He had retired from General Motors after 42 years of service. J.B. was a longtime member of Central Presbyterian Church and AASR, Blue Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Ivy Long; and 2 brothers, Lyman and Charles Long. J.B. is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ada; 2 sisters, Eather Mae Howard of Calhoun, IL and Mattie Belle Evans of Dayton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Central Presbyterian Church, 4699 Lamme Rd., Dayton, with Pastor Wayne McLaughlin officiating. A Masonic service will be held at 10:45 AM. Entombment in Woodland Mausoleum. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church.
