Jack F. Stevens

STEVENS, Jack, 92 of Kettering passed away Monday, October 12, 2008 at Miami Valley Hospital. His work experience focused on atomic energy, where solid and dependable he kept a song in his heart. Music was his inborn language, instrumentally and with the church choir, and with the Miami Valley Music Men barbershop chorus. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Richard L. Stevens. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Virginia; children: Barry Wade Stevens, Rebecca Lynn Stevens, Byron Christopher Stevens, and Jeffrey Paul Stevens; grandchildren: Zachary Tilton (Hope) Stevens, Justine Alena (John) Atkinson, Gavin Nathaniel Stevens, Heather Elizabeth Allman, Ian Zane Stevens and Nathan Wolfgang Stevens; great-grandchildren: Zephan Jae and Alena Kate. Family and friends will gather from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 19th at the Oak Creek United Church of Christ, 5280 Bigger Rd., Kettering, where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Private burial will be in Armstrong Chapel Cemetery, Indian Hill, OH at a later date. If desired, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the music program at Oak Creek United Church of Christ.
