James B. Heathman

HEATHMAN, James Brooks Sr., age 76, of Centerville, passed away on October 28, 2016. He was born in Dayton, OH on April 10, 1940 to the late Frank and Dorothy Heathman. James graduated from Oakwood High School in 1957 where he earned his nickname "Teke" and then attended The Ohio State University. He proudly served in the Army Reserves. James retired from Reynolds & Reynolds after 32 dedicated years. He loved classic cars and spending time outside, especially camping at "Hillside Haven" while his kids were young. James is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy; children, Lisa Heathman and Jimmy Heathman; grandchildren, John, Bradly, Josh, and Maddie; great-grandchildren, Layla and Lilly; sister, Lyn McGee; and nephew, Bob Rhein. A gathering of friends will be held from 10:00am-12:00noon on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering.
