COBURN, James (Jim) D. age 62, of Centerville, OH passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2006 surrounded by his family after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. James served as an officer in the U.S. Army, was past president of Delta Nu Alpha International Transportation Fraternity, a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, member U.S. Tennis Association, graduate of Eastern Michigan University, a dedicated employee for 22 years with General Motors, and president of Quantum Logistics. James is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Susan; daughters, Melissa (Sean) Vallone of Centerville, and Stefanie Coburn of Fairfax, VA; Grampie to Cooper and Carter Vallone; brother John (Jan) Coburn of Alexandria, VA; sister Barbara (Don) Lay of Maryville, TN; mother-in-law Shirley Lakin of Harrison Twp., Michigan; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. James was preceded in death by his son, David Andrew, parents, Ova Cox Coburn and John M. Coburn, father-in-law Fred Lakin. Family will receive friends and family on Monday, August 28th at Routsong Funeral Home (81 N. Main, Centerville, OH) from 6-8 p.m. A celebration of James’ life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29th at the funeral home. Burial immediately following in David’s Cemetery.
