BAKER, James F, age 86, of Centerville, OH formerly of Cleveland, OH and Palm Beach County, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. James was born in Cleveland, OH on June 3, 1932.
He graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland, OH and John Carrol University in Cleveland, OH. James served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Defense Electronics Supply Center in Dayton, OH. He was a member of Ascension Catholic Church, and a long-time volunteer at both St. Elizabeth Hospital and St. Leonard Retirement Community.
James is preceded in death by his father, Captain J. Edwin “Eddie” Baker; mother, Agnes (Hanf) Baker; his brother, Kenneth E. Baker; sister, Loretta Porter, and his loving wife of 46 years, Margie E. (Waxler) Baker. James is survived by his brother, Donald J. (& Sue) Baker; children, Peter J. (& Jennifer) Baker, Josephine F. Baker; his grandchildren, Marshall Peyton and Molly Peyton.
Family will greet friends 1-3pm on Sunday, February 24 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30am on Monday, February 25 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420.
Burial at David's Cemetery.
