James (Jim) Allen Hale, age 81, of Kenner, Louisiana (Jefferson Parish), died peacefully at home surround by family, on Sunday, October 27, 2024. James was born on August 15, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio to the late James F. Hale Jr. and Mary Alma Hale.
Jim graduated from Chaminade High School in 1961. He received a BS Degree from Miami University in 1964, Master’s Degree in Marketing and Finance from YSU, and was a member of TKE Fraternity.
He started his long and accomplished career in the Corrugated Packaging Industry right out of college with Inland Container in 1964. He became a Sales Manager for Menasha Corporation in St. Joe Michigan and then joined Pratt Industries as the General Manager. Jim ended his long successful career as President of the Mid-South Regional Area with Pratt Industries, encompassing Tennessee, Mississippi, and New Orleans.
Residing in New Orleans for the last 25 yrs., Jim was an officer with the Krewe of Centurions, active in Mardi Gras Celebrations for many years. Jim and his wife traveled the world to Tahiti, Caribbean, Mexico, Ireland, London, Italy and enjoyed cruises with family and friends. Jim’s favorite past time was fishing and was always in pursuit of the “big one” that may or may not have gotten away. He also enjoyed his garden, was a master woodworker creating beautiful works of art and forever the practical jokester.
Jim is survived by the love of his life for 60+yrs, Janice Eileen Hale, Daughter Nancy (Lee) Croyle, James (Melissa) Hale, and Steven (Alise) Hale; Seven Grandchildren, Daniel and Riley Croyle. Braxton, Brady and Bryce Hale, Grace and Thomas Hale. Sister, Kathleen (John) O’Brien, Brother, John (Darleen) Hale, nieces and nephews, Sean, Maureen and Kevin O’Brien, Chris (Kelly) Hale and Mark (Nicole) Hale.
Jim was a caring and loving Husband, Dad, Brother, Grandfather, and Uncle who will forever be in our hearts.
The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice, and his caregivers Kelly, Jessica, Jennifer, Martha, Dr. Pollet and Dr. Greer.
Visitation Information-Metairie, Louisiana-Friends and Family will be welcomed Friday, November 1, from 4:30pm-8:00pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006.
Visitation and Burial –Dayton Ohio-Family and Friends will be welcomed Wednesday, November 6, from 5:00pm–9:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, Ohio 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 7th at 11:00am at Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S Smithville Road, Dayton, Ohio 45420. James will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
