KEADEY, James (Jim) David, age 63, of Kettering passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Kettering Hospital. Jim was born on July 6, 1953 to William and Mary Keadey in Toledo, OH. He graduated from Oakwood High School and from the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in Hyde Park, NY. Jim helped open the Peasant Stock Restaurant in Kettering and later worked at the Peerless Mill Inn as the Executive Chef in Miamisburg. Jim was also the proud owner of KD's Kettering BBQ for 16 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marianne; brothers, Bill (Penny) Keadey, Mike Keadey; brothers-in-law, Bill (Kathy) Whitehead, Fred Whitehead; mother-in-law, Doris Whitehead, several nieces, nephews, and their families. Also the staff and close friends who he considered family. A special thanks to the staff of Kettering Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30pm, Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd., Kettering, with a memorial service to follow at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SISCA or Dayton Humane Society or charity of choice.
