GILLESPIE, James L., beloved husband, father and grandfather, great grandfather, age 89, of Centerville, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015.
Born in Kenosha, WI, the World War II Army Air Force veteran and long-time member of Southminster Presbyterian Church was preceded in death by his father and mother, James S. and Nellada Gillespie, and sister, Bette Smith.
Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores (Garrity); daughters, Jill (Norman) Vallone, Lori (Dean) Booso and Lisa Gillespie; son, James S. Gillespie; grandchildren, Stephen Booso, Stephanie (Ryan) Monnin, Allyson (Matthew) Condon, Michael Booso, Zachary Treffinger and LeeAnn Treffinger; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Edward) Garrett and many nieces and nephews.
Family will greet friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, Jan. 9 at Routsong Funeral Home in Centerville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest at David's Cemetery.
