James Leroy Clendening

CLENDENING, James LeRoy age 84, of Centerville passed away on Friday, September 22, 2006 at Sycamore Hospital. James was a longtime member of the Centerville United Methodist Church. He received his Aerospace Engineering Degree from the University of Oklahoma and worked as an engineer at WPAFB until his retirement in 1980. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. James was preceded in death by his infant daughter; his parents, Clark and Alma Clendening; sister, Juanita Fidler and brother, Curtis Clendening. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth Clendening; sons, Randall (Judy) Clendening of VA and Thomas Clendening of CA; daughter, Susan Clendening of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Kevin and Bryan Clendening and Douglas and Carissa Burns; brother, Gerald (Charlotte) Clendening of TX. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Dr. Steven Fewell officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
