BULCHER, James Lewis, age 89, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. James was born on October 1, 1932 in Dayton, OH to the late Cletus and Cecelia (nee McEldowney) Bulcher. He graduated from Chaminade High School and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Dayton. James served in the U. S. Army and worked for various companies as a Time Study Industrial Engineer. He was a member of the Milton Club and belonged to American Legion Post #598. James loved to golf, spend time at the lake fishing, ride his motorcycle, and play euchre with friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Zimmerman. James is survived by his sons, Thomas, Anthony (Cheryl), Timothy (Amy), and Thaddeus; grandchildren, T.J. and Shane (Jane), Stacia and Jeremy (Stephanie) Poff, Ryan, Hanna, and Jenna; great-grandchild, Harper Jean Poff as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Lyn and all the staff at Brookdale of Kettering and Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for their great care of James.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Saturday, December 11 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 272 Bainbridge St, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jim’s memory to the Hospice of your choice.
