TOWNSEND, James R., 54. Jim was a devoted and beloved husband, father, and friend to many. He passed away December 12, 2008 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Irene Townsend. Jim lived in Dayton his entire life, graduated from Belmont High School, and was well-known throughout the community. He enjoyed working as a sales representative for Bonbright Distributors, and was the owner of his own business, Townsend Lawn Service. His passions included cutting grass, and fishing in the deep seas of Mexico with his wife, Judy, who survives him along with his daughter, Casey and her husband Casey, his sister, Karen, his aunt, Kathy and his dog, Jake. He will be greatly missed but we are certain that he is safe in the arms of the Father, rejoicing. His family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, December 16, 2008 from 6-8:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Jim's family will celebrate his life with a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
