James Louis Woods

WOODS, James Louis, age 79, of Huber Heights, passed away on August 2, 2024. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1963 after graduating from Wurzburg American High School in Germany. After his retirement in 1987, he continued using his telecommunications expertise in the private sector working for Lexis-Nexis retiring in 2004. James enjoyed spending time with his friends at Fricker’s where he was well known. He was dedicated to his family and was a devoted father. James loved to travel, enjoyed camping and fishing, time at the beach and was a fan of the Dragons, Reds, Bengals, and the New Orlans Saint’s. 

James is survived by his wife Genia of 56 years; his daughters, Andrea (Ken Fasimpaur) Woods-Fasimpaur and Stacey Woods; Grandchildren, Madison (Cole Morgan) Skopeck and Mica Woods; Sisters, Margaret Harshfield and Sara Martin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. 

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 2-4pm with military honors and a memorial service at 4pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. Reception to follow at Fricker’s on Chamburg Rd. In leu of flowers please make donations to Wounded Warriors Foundation.
