Janet Marks

MARKS, Janet, age 89, of Kettering passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Born June 15, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio, Janet was a graduate of Fairview High School and member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Janet was passionate about playing competitive bridge with her friends and an active member of David’s United Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Plants and loving husband, Wayne Marks. Janet is survived by her son, Lawrence (Sandra) Plants; daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Purvis; 3 grandsons, Clinton (Sarah Cooperider) Plants, Samuel Purvis, and Michael Fuller; cousin, Patrick Sexton; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 3:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429. Family and friends may visit from 2:00PM until the time of service. A reception will follow the services at the funeral home. Janet will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Area, 24 N. Jefferson St., Dayton, OH 45402 or Hospice of Dayton.
