Janet S. Price

age 87 of Dayton, Ohio and Petoskey, Michigan, died Sunday, May 27, 2001 at her summer home on Pickerel Lake in Petoskey. She was born on July 30, 1913 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Adolph W. and Jane Marlay Smith. Janet attended The Moraine School and Oakwood High School in Dayton, Western College in Oxford and graduated from The School of the Dayton Art Institute. She married Harry Steele Price, Jr. on April 7, 1934. Janet loved gardening, fly-fishing, was a loyal supporter of Harbor Hall in Petoskey and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oakwood. Survived by her husband Harry; a daughter, Pamela P. Houk; 2 sons, Harry Steele Price III of Scottsdale, AZ and Marley B. Price of Versailles, OH; 2 brothers, Stephen B. Smith of West Chester, PA and Marlay A. Smith of West Grove, PA; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 11 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 33 W. Dixon Ave., Dayton with Rev. John F. Koepke III officiating.
